RunTheLake Lauf-Challenge 2021 with record number of participants on the home stretch

Leipzig, 21.09.2021. The RunTheLake 2021 running challenge is on the home stretch: participants still have 6 weeks to run around the 7 lakes individually and thus achieve gold status. This year, the lakes in the Leipzig area include the Werbeliner See, the Hainer See, the Markkleeberger See, the Störmthaler See, the Cospudener See, the Schladitzer See and the Zwenkauer See. To become a gold finisher, you have to cover a total running distance of 101km.

After 1,600 participants registered last year, the number more than doubled this year with over 3,300 registrations. This means that a total of almost 5,000 participants have registered for the individual running format developed during the Corona pandemic. In central Germany, this makes it the largest running movement in recent months.

The RunTheLake Challenge will also be continued in 2022 after the great response and positive feedback.
