Corona update execution half marathon Leipzig

Leipzig, 22.10.2021. On October 19, the Saxon cabinet in Dresden approved the new Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance. Yesterday, it came into force and is valid up to and including November 17, 2021. With the previous ordinance, the Free State of Saxony introduced the optional 2G model, including for events or major sporting events.

As things stand, we will stick to the 3G principle (proof of vaccinated, recovered or tested negative) for the Leipzig Half Marathon. We will provide Corona self-tests on site for a fee of 5€. However, these are only valid for the event. In addition, we are currently assuming a maximum possible number of participants of 👀 3,000 runners out. We will fence the entire area and implement access controls. The general minimum distance of 1.5m from other people will apply and if this is not possible, a mouth-nose protection must be worn.

If there is any news about the legal regulations or requirements, we will contact you with a new update.
