Information for residents and commercial neighbors

Here you will find an overview of the necessary closures due to the "LEIPZIG RUN" on 15.10.2023. You are also welcome to use the full text search to search for specific street names or terms that could be part of the running route or could be directly affected. There will be the following traffic restrictions in Güldengossa. The road closures will generally be in place from 06:00 - 15:00. The run will pass through Güldengossa from: 10:30 - 11:40.

The following streets are specifically affected:

  • Auenhainer Straße
  • Liebertwolkwitzer Street

After the participants have passed through at around 11:40 a.m., the blocking measures in Güldengossa will be lifted immediately.

Please observe the respective no-stopping zones and detour signs. If you as a resident are directly affected by the closures and need to use your vehicle on the day of the event, please park it outside the route.

Please also follow the instructions and directions of the police and law enforcement officers.

The following disruptions will occur in public transportation:

  • 106 from 8 am to 1 pm departure from Auenhain Kanupark, otherwise runs normally

  • On-call bus 108 runs normally

  • 141 from 9:10 and 13:10: no service between Güldengossa - Probstheida; departure from/to Meusdorf stop

  • 690 from 8-13 o'clock traffic only between Grimma - Meusdorf (Liebertwolkwitz

    without impairment)

  • Train 15 (Leipzig) runs without restrictions to Meusdorf (there and back)

Güldengossa can be reached without restriction via Auenhainer Straße coming from the S242 (including the highway connection). Schulstraße is not affected by the closures.

There will be the following traffic restrictions in the city of Leipzig. The road closures will generally be in place from 06:00 - 15:00. The run will take place from: 10:00 - 13:30 on the designated streets of the city of Leipzig.

The following streets are specifically affected:

  • Prager Straße (from Alte Messe out of town)
  • Chemnitz street
  • Old Fair area

Once the field of participants has passed through at around 13:30, the lockdown measures in the city of Leipzig will be lifted immediately.

Please observe the respective no-stopping zones and detour signs. If you as a resident are directly affected by the closures and need to use your vehicle on the day of the event, please park it outside the route.

Please also follow the instructions and directions of the police and law enforcement officers.

The following disruptions will occur in public transportation:

  • 70 from 7 am to 3 pm: detour from Arthur-Hoffmann-Straße to Technisches Rathaus via Kurt-Eisner-Straße

  • 75 and 76 from 5 am to 3 pm: Departure from Nieritzstr., Probstheida bus turnaround stop is not served

  • 79 from 9 am to 3 pm: only runs between Südfriedhof and Thekla

  • On-call bus 108 runs normally

  • 141 from 9:10 and 13:10: no service between Güldengossa - Probstheida; departure from/to Meusdorf stop

  • 690 from 8-13 o'clock traffic only between Grimma - Meusdorf (Liebertwolkwitz

    without impairment)

  • Train 15 (Leipzig) runs without restrictions to Meusdorf (there and back)

In Leipzig, Prager Straße is only closed out of town; into town, Prager Straße can be used without restriction.

The following streets are specifically affected:

  • Güldengossa street
  • Borna street

After the field of participants has passed through at around 12:10 p.m., the lockdown measures in Liebertwolkwitz will be lifted immediately.

Please observe the respective no-stopping zones and detour signs. If you as a resident are directly affected by the closures and need to use your vehicle on the day of the event, please park it outside the route.

The following disruptions will occur in public transportation:

In the area of Wachau, Auenhain and Markkleeberger See there will be the following traffic restrictions.

The road closures will generally be in place from 06:00 - 15:00. The run will take place from: 10:15 - 11:20 on the designated roads.

The following streets are specifically affected:

  • Bornaer Chaussee
  • Apelsteinallee
  • Cröben way
  • At the hollow
  • South path
  • Crostewitz Street
  • Upper bank path
  • Paddle trail
  • White water bend
  • At the silver shaft
  • Güldengossa street

After the field of participants has passed through at around 11:20 a.m., the lockdown measures in Wachau, Lake Markkleeberg and Auenhain will be lifted immediately.

The canoe park, the Auenhain lake park, the climbing park and the Auenhain model park can still be reached via Bornaer Chaussee.
